"This email doesn't have a wallet" issue

  • Updated

This article explains what to do if you see the error message "This email doesn't have a wallet" when trying to sign in to Phantom using your Google or Apple account.

This means Phantom can’t find a seedless wallet linked to the Apple or Google account you selected.

The wallet wasn't created successfully

If something went wrong during setup, your wallet may have been partially created. In this case, Phantom may recognize your Apple or Google account, but no wallet addresses were generated yet.

If this happens, try signing in again using the same account you originally selected. If no funds were sent to the wallet, retrying the sign-in may complete the setup.

If you continue to see the same message, follow these steps:

  1. Take a screenshot of the error you're seeing.
  2. Select ?Download App Logs.
  3. Contact Phantom Support using the Chat button and submit a ticket, sharing the logs and screenshot when prompted.

You're signing in with the wrong Apple or Google account

If you select a different Apple or Google account than the one you used to create your wallet, Phantom won’t find a wallet linked to it.

If you have more than one Apple or Google account, try signing in with your other accounts.

To help identify whether an email was used for Phantom, look for the onboarding email in your inbox:

When you select the correct Apple or Google account, Phantom will prompt you to enter your 4-digit PIN.

This email was used for purchases or newsletters

Some emails that mention Phantom are not related to creating a Phantom wallet. For example:

  • On-ramp providers such as MoonPay or Coinbase Pay use your email for purchases and receipts.
  • Newsletter signups on phantom.com use your email for updates.

Neither of these creates a Phantom wallet linked to that email.

Restore using a recovery phrase

If you previously exported a recovery phrase for this wallet, you can restore your wallet using it.

If you no longer have your recovery phrase and you can’t sign in with the correct Apple or Google account, the wallet can’t be recovered.
