If Phantom is asking you to create a username after you restored your wallet, or your profile is no longer visible, this guide explains why and how to fix it.
Cause
Phantom links your profile to the first wallet you restore. If that wallet doesn't have a profile, Phantom prompts you to create a username. Any wallets restored afterward appear under the newly created profile, even if one of them already had a username.
This can also happen when setting up on a new phone using a cloud backup or device transfer, where Phantom may not preserve your profile information automatically.
Solution
- Uninstall Phantom.
- Download it again from phantom.com/download.
- Restore the wallet that originally had your username first.
Your original profile should appear after a fresh install.
