Missing profile after restoring your wallet

  • Updated

If you restored your wallet and your profile doesn't appear—even though you previously claimed a username—the profile is likely linked to a different wallet than the one you restored first.

Cause

Your profile is linked to the wallet you were using when you claimed your username. When you restore multiple wallets in Phantom (for example, multiple recovery phrases, or signing in with Apple or Google and then importing other recovery phrases), Phantom shows the profile for the first wallet you import.

If you restore a wallet without a username first, or restore wallets in a different order than before,
Phantom won't show your original profile. Instead, you'll see a "Create your @username" prompt at the
 top of Settings.

What you can do

  1. Reinstall Phantom.
  2. Restore the wallet that contains your profile first.
  3. Then import any additional wallets.
