Get help with gambling and set limits

If gambling is starting to feel out of control, you're not alone, and help is available. This article covers free support and the steps you can take to add barriers between yourself and gambling, both in Phantom and beyond.

Talk to someone now #

  • US: National Problem Gambling Helpline. Call or text 1-800-MY-RESET (1-800-697-3738), or chat at 1800myreset.org. Free, 24/7.
  • If you're thinking about suicide or self-harm (US): call or text 988. If you're in immediate danger, call 911.
  • Outside the US: see Help outside the US.

Add barriers to access and spending #

No single step is perfect, but combining a few makes it much harder to act on an urge.

  1. Delete your Link account. Go to app.link.com > Settings > Delete account. This removes the saved cards and bank accounts used to add money.
  2. Ask your bank to block gambling and crypto purchases. Many banks and card issuers can do this in their app or over the phone.
  3. Turn on screen time controls. Use Screen Time (iPhone) or Digital Wellbeing / Family Link (Android). Ask someone you trust to set the passcode, and block new app installs.
  4. Consider a site and app blocker. Check which services each tool covers before relying on it.

Important: About closing your account: we're currently unable to fully close Phantom accounts or Cash accounts while we work on this feature. If you contact Phantom Support, we'll note your request and follow up when it's available.
