Create a new Phantom wallet

You can create a new Phantom wallet in two ways. Both are self-custodial, which means only you control your wallet and assets.

• Google or Apple login: You sign in with your Google or Apple account and set a four-digit PIN. You need both your account and PIN to restore your wallet. This wallet also has a Secret Recovery Phrase, which you can export and store offline as an additional backup.
• Recovery phrase: You receive a 12-word Secret Recovery Phrase that gives you full control of your wallet. Write it down and store it securely offline. You need the recovery phrase to restore your wallet.

Phantom never holds your private key and does not control your assets.

Warning: Never share your Secret Recovery Phrase with anyone, including Phantom Support. Store it in a secure, offline location.

Create a wallet with a Google or Apple login

1. Download Phantom from phantom.com/download.
2. Select Create a New Wallet → Continue with Email → Continue with Apple or Continue with Google.
3. Set a four-digit PIN.

Create a wallet with a recovery phrase

1. Download Phantom from phantom.com/download.
2. Select Create a New Wallet → Create a Recovery Phrase Wallet.
3. View your Secret Recovery Phrase, then write it down and store it securely offline.

Start fresh with a new wallet
