Because Phantom is a self-custodial wallet, your wallet can’t be permanently deleted from the blockchain. For wallets created with Google or Apple, deleting the wallet unlinks that account from your Phantom profile. This option isn’t available for every wallet.
Before you start
Back up your Secret Recovery Phrase before deleting your wallet. You’ll need it if you want to restore access later.
See View your recovery phrase or private keys in Phantom for details.
Delete your wallet
If your wallet supports deletion, you can remove it from your Phantom profile.
- In Phantom, go to Settings → Security & Privacy.
- Tap Delete Wallet.
- If your Cash account has funds, transfer them to another wallet you can access later. You can also choose Continue Anyway to continue without transferring your funds.
After deleting a wallet created with a Google or Apple account, you can create a new wallet with the same Google or Apple account.
If you don't see Delete Wallet
Some wallets don’t include a Delete Wallet option.
If you want to create a new wallet in Phantom, reset your Phantom app. Resetting removes your local wallet data and returns Phantom to the welcome screen.
If you no longer want to use Phantom, uninstall the app.
