Cash out crypto from Phantom

  • Updated

To cash out crypto from Phantom to a bank account, send your tokens to an exchange, sell for fiat (like USD or EUR), then withdraw to your bank.

Tip: If you're holding tokens other than SOL or stablecoins, you may need to swap them to a stablecoin like USDC first. You can do this directly in Phantom before sending to an exchange. See Swap crypto for more information.

Before you send

You need a small amount of the network's native token (such as SOL on Solana or ETH on Ethereum) to cover network fees. See About gas (network fees) for more information.

Send tokens to an exchange

  1. Choose an exchange that supports your token and region (for example, Coinbase, Binance, or Kraken).
  2. In the exchange, copy the deposit address for the token you're sending.
  3. Double-check the token and network match what you’re sending from Phantom.
  4. Warning: Sending on the wrong network can result in lost funds.

  5. In Phantom, select Send, choose the token, then paste the exchange deposit address.
  6. After the funds arrive on the exchange, sell them for fiat.
  7. Withdraw to your bank account using the exchange’s withdrawal options.

Exchange fees and processing times vary. Selling crypto may be taxable depending on where you live.

Supported exchanges

The table below lists a few common examples.

US exchanges Global exchanges
Binance.us Binance
Coinbase Bitfinex
Gate.com (US) Gate.com
Kraken HTX
Ramp Network OKX

Not all tokens are supported on all exchanges. If you're sending CASH tokens, most exchanges don't support CASH on Solana. See Using CASH token on exchanges before sending.

If you're in the US and have completed identity verification in Phantom Cash, you can withdraw directly to your US bank account. See Withdraw CASH from your Cash account.
