How to claim your Phantom username

  • Updated

Phantom usernames help you personalize your wallet and make it easier to send and receive crypto. You’ll need a username to send and receive P2P transfers using Phantom Cash, and to identify your wallet across devices.

If you created a wallet using Apple or Google login and claimed your username to it, then when you delete and restore your wallet, your username stays with you, but you need to claim it back.

Claim your username when creating a new wallet

If you're setting up a new Phantom wallet, you'll be asked to create a username during onboarding.

  1. On the Create Username screen, enter your desired username.
  2. Check availability.
  3. Select Continue.

The username is now yours. You can change it after 14 days if you want to.

Claim your username from wallet settings

If you didn't claim the username during the initial wallet setup, you can always do so from your wallet settings:

  1. Open the Phantom mobile app or browser extension.
  2. Select your profile avatar in the upper-left corner.
  3. Go to Settings and select Create your @username at the top.
  4. Enter your desired username.
  5. Check availability.
  6. Select Continue.

The username is now yours. You can change it after 14 days if you want to.
