Claim a Phantom username

  • Updated

Phantom usernames help you personalize your wallet and make it easier to send and receive crypto. You need a username to send and receive transfers using Phantom Cash and to identify your wallet across devices.

If you created a wallet using Apple or Google login, your username stays with you when you restore your wallet—but you'll need to claim it again.

Claim during wallet setup

When setting up a new Phantom wallet, you're asked to create a username during onboarding.

  1. On the Create Username screen, enter your desired username.
  2. Check availability.
  3. Select Continue.

You can change your username after 14 days.

Claim from settings

If you skipped username creation during setup, follow these steps:

  1. Select your profile avatar in the upper-left corner.
  2. Go to Settings and select Create your @username at the top.
  3. Enter your desired username.
  4. Check availability.
  5. Select Continue.

You can change your username after 14 days.
