Import your Privy wallet into Phantom

  • Updated

Some apps, such as Pump.fun and Jupiter, use Privy to create a wallet when you sign up with an email address. This wallet is secured on your behalf, but you can export the private key and import it into the Phantom app for full control and visibility.

Before you start

Here's what you'll need:

  • Access to your Privy wallet.
  • The Phantom app. Download it for free on iOS, Android, or as a browser extension at phantom.com/download.
  • A private moment. You will view your private key, so make sure no one can see your screen.

Warning: Never share your Secret Recovery Phrase or private key with anyone. Anyone with access to either has full control of your wallet. Phantom Support will never ask for your recovery phrase or private key.

Export your private key from Privy

To export your private key from Privy, follow these steps:

  1. Sign in to the app where your wallet was created.
  2. Look for an export wallet option and copy your private key.

Import the private key into Phantom

From the welcome screen

If you haven't set up a wallet in Phantom yet, start from the welcome screen in the Phantom mobile app or browser extension.

From inside Phantom

If you already have a wallet in Phantom, import the private key as an additional account.

Your wallet is now accessible in Phantom, including all tokens, NFTs, and transaction history.
