In Phantom wallet, some tokens might show a dash (–) instead of a USD price. This does not mean the token is unsafe—it simply means it doesn’t meet the criteria needed to show a price.

Why a token may not show a price
Phantom only shows prices for tokens that meet all of the following:
The token isn't listed on a support price source
It must appear on trusted platforms like Coingecko or Birdeye. If it’s not listed, Phantom can’t fetch price data.
The token doesn't meet minimum market thresholds
Tokens with very low total value locked (TVL), market cap, or trading volume may not qualify for price display—even if they’re listed.
The token doesn't have consistent market activity
Tokens that become inactive or illiquid over time can lose price visibility. Phantom refreshes token data regularly to keep it accurate.
The token may be a scam or suspicious asset
Some tokens are airdropped into wallets without user consent. These tokens often use the same name and logo as legitimate tokens, but they aren’t listed, have no liquidity, and can’t be traded. Phantom hides their price to help protect you from scams.
Can I still use the token?
Legitimate tokens
You can send, receive, and swap many tokens that don’t currently show a price—especially if they’re newly launched or temporarily inactive.
Scam tokens
These tokens are usually designed to look real but can’t be sold or swapped. They may not have liquidity, may block outgoing transfers, or may include malicious code that attempts to steal assets.
Important: Even if a value appears next to the token, that value is fake or misleading. You won’t be able to sell it.
If you’ve been airdropped one of these tokens, the safest thing to do is to report and hide it. For more information, see Common token scams.
What should I do if my token shows no price?
If the token is legitimate and simply new or inactive, no action is needed. Phantom will automatically show the price once the token meets the required thresholds.
There’s no fixed timeline—visibility depends on the token’s performance and listing status.
