How to reset the password in the Phantom browser extension

This article walks you through how to reset the password used to unlock your Phantom browser extension.

  1. Click Forgot password → Reset & wipe app.
  2. After the reset, select I already have a wallet.
  3. Restore your wallet using one of these methods:
    • Apple or Google login: Click Connect Email Wallet, then click Apple or Google, and then enter your 4-digit PIN.
    • Recovery phrase: Click Import Recovery Phrase and enter your 12-word recovery phrase.

Phantom only uses a password on the browser extension to unlock the wallet locally. Your wallet and funds remain safe as long as you still have your PIN or recovery phrase.
