Change password in the Phantom browser extension

Phantom only uses a password on the browser extension to unlock the wallet locally. You can change your extension password at any time.

To change the extension password, follow these steps:

1. Click your profile avatar in the upper left.
2. Click Settings (gear icon).
3. Go to Security & Privacy → Change Password.
4. Enter your current password, then your new password, and confirm it.
5. Click Save.
