Phantom is a browser extension that lets you access your wallet directly in your browser. It’s available on Chrome, Brave, Edge, Opera, Firefox, and Tor.
Important: Only get Phantom from phantom.com/download. Fake extensions can appear in browser stores and may steal your funds. If you see a suspicious listing, report it in your browser’s extension store.
Download Phantom
- Go to phantom.com/download.
- Choose your browser (Chrome, Brave, Edge, Opera, Firefox, or Tor).
- You’ll be taken to your browser’s extension store page. Follow the on-screen steps to add Phantom.
Safari isn't supported.
After Phantom is added, open it to create a new wallet or import an existing one.
Manage the Phantom extension
You can pin, unpin, or manage Phantom from your browser’s extensions menu.
Chrome, Brave, Edge, Opera, and other Chromium browsers
- Click the Extensions icon in the upper-right corner of your browser.
- Find Phantom, then click the pin icon to keep it visible in your toolbar.
To manage all extensions, do one of the following:
- Go to
chrome://extensions/. - Right-click the Phantom icon, then click Manage Extension.
Firefox and Tor
- Click the Extensions icon in the upper-right corner of your browser.
- Find Phantom, click the gear, then click Pin to Toolbar.

about:addons. - Right-click the Phantom extension, then click Manage Extension.
Keep Phantom up to date
Phantom updates automatically. If you’re not seeing the latest changes, restart your browser.

Troubleshooting
“The Download button isn’t working”
On phantom.com/download, Download doesn’t start a file download right away. It opens a list of platforms and browsers.
Try this:
- Make sure you select a platform and then choose your browser’s icon.
- If nothing opens, refresh the page and try again.
Nothing happens when I click a browser icon
Some settings and tools can prevent the store page from opening.
Try these steps:
- Temporarily turn off ad blockers, privacy extensions, or strict tracking protection for phantom.com.
- Allow pop-ups/redirects for phantom.com (some browsers treat store redirects like pop-ups).
- Try a private/incognito window.
- Clear site data for phantom.com (cookies/cache), then try again.
- Try a different supported browser.
I added Phantom but don’t see the icon
- Select the Extensions icon in your toolbar and look for Phantom.
- Pin Phantom so it stays visible (steps above).
