Fix Ledger issues on browser

If you're having trouble connecting your Ledger or signing transactions with the Phantom browser extension, try these steps.

Connection issues

  1. Close your browser completely and reopen it.
  2. Make sure Ledger Wallet isn't running—it can block the connection.
  3. Update your Ledger device firmware.
  4. Update the Solana, Ethereum, or Bitcoin app on your Ledger.
  5. Try connecting again.

Still not connecting

Remove and re-add your Ledger in Phantom:

  1. Click your profile avatar in the upper-left corner.
  2. Go to SettingsManage Accounts.
  3. Select your Ledger wallet and click Remove Account.
  4. Re-add it: Add AccountConnect Hardware Wallet.

Transaction issues

If your Ledger connects but transactions fail, follow these steps:

  1. Make sure your Ledger is connected via USB and unlocked.
  2. Open the correct app on your Ledger (for example, Solana).
  3. Make sure Ledger Wallet is closed.                                                                                                 
  4. Enable blind signing: On your Ledger, open the relevant app → SettingsEnable blind signing → set to Enabled.
