Common questions about the Cash account and the CASH stablecoin.

What is a Cash account? #

Your Cash account is a separate Solana address that's tied to a unique identifier in your Phantom profile, and it appears alongside your other accounts in Phantom. Your Cash account is designed to hold CASH, a USD-pegged stablecoin.

Your Phantom profile (the same identity that powers your Phantom username) is linked to both your regular Phantom wallet accounts and your Cash account.

What can I do with a Cash account? #

You can fund your Cash account with fiat payment methods or by transferring supported stablecoins. Once funded, use it to trade spot, perps, prediction markets, and earn rewards. If eligible, you can spend your Cash account balance with a virtual Phantom debit card.

Can I buy BTC with Cash? #

No. Buying BTC with Cash is currently not supported. See Buy BTC for more information.

Can I use CASH with DeFi apps? #

Yes. You can deposit your CASH into DeFi apps, such as Kamino. For more details, see Earn yield with CASH on Kamino.

Can I earn rewards on my Cash balance? #

What's the difference between CASH and Cash? #

CASH (all caps) refers to the stablecoin. Cash (capital C) refers to the product and the account where you hold CASH.

Where can I find my Cash account? #

The Cash section appears on the Home tab once your wallet is funded. Tap it to view your Cash account.

Or on the Home tab, tap your account name above your main balance, such as Account 1, to open the account switcher. Your Cash account appears at the top of the list.

Can I use Cash in the browser extension? #

No. Your Cash account is available only in the Phantom mobile app.

Where is Cash available? #

Cash is available to Phantom users in most countries through the Phantom mobile app. It isn't available in jurisdictions sanctioned by the US. If you are in an ineligible region, the app shows that Cash isn't available.

Can anyone pull CASH out of my Cash account? #

No. Only you control your Cash account. Your balance is held in a self-custodial smart-contract wallet on Solana, which means:

• Only you can move funds using your wallet credentials.
• Phantom, Stripe, Link, or any partner can't access or withdraw your funds.
• No one can pull money out without your authorization.

You can always move your Cash account balance yourself by sending funds to another Phantom user or Solana wallet, or by swapping into tokens on Solana.

Can I close my Cash account? #

We're currently unable to fully close Phantom accounts or Cash accounts while we work on this feature. If you contact Phantom Support, we'll note your request and follow up when it's available.

What if I change my Phantom username? #

Your Cash account remains under your control. It's tied to a unique identifier in your Phantom profile, not your username.

I received an email from @bridge.xyz. Is it legitimate? #

Yes. Bridge is Phantom's payments partner and powers bank deposits and withdrawals. Bridge may contact you from support@bridge.xyz to request additional information related to your transactions.

If you receive such an email, do your best to provide the information requested. This is required to keep your account in good standing and to ensure your funds are processed correctly.

If you're unsure whether an email is genuine, contact Phantom Support to verify before responding.

How can I share feedback about Cash? #

We read every piece of feedback. To share your thoughts, open Cash, tap the three-dot icon in the upper right, and tap Feedback.
