This article answers common questions about your Cash account, CASH, yield, identity verification (KYC), and the Phantom debit card.

What can I do with Cash?

What is a Cash account?

Your Cash account is a separate Solana address that’s tied to a unique identifier in your Phantom profile, and it appears alongside your other accounts in Phantom. Your Cash account is designed to hold CASH, a USD‑pegged stablecoin, and it shows your balance in USD.

Your Phantom profile (the same identity that powers your Phantom username) is linked to both your regular Phantom wallet accounts and your dedicated Cash account.

Does Cash work on all networks?

No. Cash works only on Solana. It can hold CASH, but it cannot receive tokens from other networks such as Ethereum or Polygon. If you hold USDC or other tokens on a different network (for example, Base), you must bridge them to Solana before swapping into CASH.

Where can I see my Cash balance?

In your Phantom mobile app, open the Home tab. Then look for the Cash Balance section at the top.

Can I use Cash in the browser extension?

No. Your Cash account is available only in the Phantom mobile app. There's no browser extension support for Cash at this time.

Where is Cash available?

Cash is available worldwide. Offchain features are available in the US only (except NY). See About Cash for more information.

How can I withdraw CASH from my Cash account?

What's the difference between sending and withdrawing CASH?

Sending CASH means transferring funds from your Cash account to someone else (onchain or offchain). Withdrawing refers to transferring funds to your own Phantom wallet balance or your US bank account.

How long do bank withdrawals take to process?

Transfer times depend on the speed you select and your bank's funds availability policy. See Cash bank withdrawal timing for more information.

Can I send CASH to exchanges?

Yes, with limited support. See Send and deposit CASH on exchanges for a list of compatible exchanges.

How do I connect my bank account to my Cash account?

If you're in the US (except NY), you can connect your bank account to add or withdraw funds. For funding, open the Cash tab and tap Direct Deposit, the add your bank details. For withdrawals, open the Cash tab and tap WithdrawTo Bank Account, then add your bank details.

Only US bank accounts are supported.

What if I changed my Phantom username?

Your Cash account remains under your control. It's tied to a unique identifier in your Phantom profile, not your username.

Can I close my Cash account?

Yes. For details, see Close your Cash account.

Can anyone pull CASH out of my Cash account?

No. Only you control your Cash account. Your balance is held in a self-custodial smart-contract wallet on Solana, which means:

  • Only you can move funds using your wallet credentials.
  • Phantom, Bridge, Link, or any partner can't access or withdraw your funds.
  • No one can pull money out without your authorization.

You can always move your Cash account balance yourself by sending funds to another Phantom user or Solana wallet, or by swapping into tokens on Solana.

Can I use a Ledger wallet with Cash?

Partially. The Quick Sell Crypto funding option isn't available for Ledger accounts.

Is identity verification required to use Cash?

Identity verification (KYC) is optional for most Cash features. You can swap tokens in and out of your Cash account, send funds to Phantom users and Solana wallets, withdraw to your Phantom wallet—all without KYC. To access bank deposits, withdrawals, and the Phantom debit card, KYC is required. It's available only in the US (except NY).

What do I need to verify my identity?

Identity verification (KYC) is available in the US only (except NY). To complete it, you'll need the following:

  • A US phone number
  • Your full name
  • US address
  • Date of birth
  • Social Security number (SSN). An Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN) is not accepted.
  • A government-issued ID
  • Access to your device's camera for a face scan

Who handles identity verification for Cash?

Identity verification for Cash is handled by Link, our identity verification partner. Phantom receives your verification status, not your identity documents. We do not store any personal information except your email.

How does Phantom use my KYC information?

When you complete identity verification (KYC), your verification status is linked to a unique identifier associated with your Phantom profile. We do not link or correlate your KYC information with your non-Cash wallet addresses.

Can I have more than one Cash account with the same identity information?

Yes. You can have multiple Cash accounts under different Phantom profiles, and you can onboard each one using the same identity information, including email and phone number.

Can I delete my identity information?

Yes. You can request Link to delete your identity documents, payment method, or your entire Link account. For more details, see Delete information saved with Link.

How do I get my Phantom debit card?

After you complete identity verification (KYC), you'll be prompted to accept the card terms of use and activate your card. If you skip this step, the card won't be created. Return to the Cash tab later to finish activation. If you don't see the prompt, you may need to reverify to get a card.

Why do I need to verify my identity for the debit card?

The Phantom debit card is issued through a regulated card program partner and is subject to applicable financial and identity-verification requirements.

Is the Phantom debit card available in my country?

The virtual Phantom debit card is available only in the US (except NY). We don't have a timeline to share for other regions.

Is there a physical Phantom debit card?

No. The Phantom debit card is virtual only. There is no physical card. You can use your virtual card anywhere Visa is accepted by adding it to Apple Pay or Google Pay for contactless payments, or by entering your card details manually at checkout.

How does the Phantom debit card work?

Your Phantom debit card is a stablecoin-linked Visa card that works anywhere Visa, Apple Pay, or Google Pay are accepted. When you pay, Bridge (our payments provider) draws CASH from your Cash account balance and converts it to USD, so the merchant is paid like any standard Visa transaction. You can use your card online, in apps, and in-store wherever Visa is accepted.

Onchain, you'll see a transfer from your Cash account to Bridge's debit-card smart contract. Merchant names, items, and receipts aren't visible onchain.

Can I use my Phantom debit card with Apple Pay or Google Pay?

Yes. You can add your Phantom debit card to Apple Pay or Google Pay in the Phantom app or in the respective wallet app. Once added, you can use your card for contactless payments and online purchases.

How can I change the name on my Phantom debit card?

Contact Phantom Support.

Can I view the statement for my Phantom debit card?

You can view all transactions with your Cash account in the Activity section on the Cash tab.

How can I earn yield with CASH?

You can earn yield with your CASH by depositing it into apps such as Kamino. For more details, see Using CASH in apps.

I received an email from @bridge.xyz. Is it legitimate?

Yes. Bridge is Phantom's payments partner and powers bank deposits, withdrawals, and the Phantom debit card. Bridge may contact you from support@bridge.xyz to request additional information related to your transactions.

If you receive such an email, do your best to provide the information requested. This is required to keep your account in good standing and to ensure your funds are processed correctly.
