A private key allows access to a specific account on a specific blockchain network. If you lose a private key without a backup, you permanently lose access to that account.
If you're still logged in to Phantom
Export your private key while you still have access:
- Go to Settings → Manage Accounts.
- Select the account (extension) or tap the pencil icon next to the account (mobile).
- Select Show Private Key.
- Follow the prompts and copy the private key.
- Store it somewhere safe.
Warning: Never share your recovery phrase, private keys, or PIN with anyone, including Phantom Support.
If you no longer have access to Phantom
If you deleted Phantom, lost your device, or are logged out without a backup, the account can't be recovered.
Phantom doesn't store private keys. There's no way to retrieve one after access is lost.
