If you're having trouble adding money to your Cash account, this article covers why options may be unavailable and why deposits sometimes fail. For general funding instructions, see Fund your Cash account.
Deposit fails
Payment method declined
Your card or bank may have insufficient funds, restrictions on crypto-related transactions, or other blocks in place. Also, not all cards are supported when adding funds to Phantom Cash via Stripe (the Bank, Card, or Apple Pay option). For more information, see Supported cards.
Try a different card or payment method.
Deposit limit reached
Deposits made via Bank, Card, or Apple Pay are subject to rolling limits using a 7-day trailing window, not a daily reset. Your limit may not refresh exactly 24 hours after a deposit. For more information, see Funding limits.
Use the Direct Deposit option instead.
Location mismatch
Some funding options require that you're in a specific location:
- Bank, Card, or Apple Pay: You must be physically located in the US to use this option.
- Direct Deposit: You must be physically located in your verified state to use this option.
Make sure you're in the correct location before trying again. Alternatively, use the Quick Sell Crypto option to fund your account.
Funding option is not available
If the funding options on the Add Cash screen are not available:
- Quick Sell Crypto: If you see "No tokens to sell," you have less than $1 worth of tokens on Solana. Add at least $1 of any Solana token by purchasing or receiving one.
- Bank, Card, or Apple Pay and Direct Deposit: If you see "Verification Required," you haven't completed identity verification (KYC) yet, or you're outside the US. These options are available only to users in the US (except NY) and require KYC.
