Phantom Cash bank withdrawal timing

  • Updated

This article explains how long bank withdrawals from your Cash account take to arrive, how ACH processing rules affect timing, and when to contact Phantom Support. For step-by-step withdrawal instructions, see Withdraw CASH from your Cash account.

Withdrawal speeds and cut-off times

When you withdraw from your Cash account to a US bank account, you choose between two speeds.

Speed Expected arrival Cut-off
Standard Next business day 1pm ET
Fast Same business day 1pm ET

If you submit your withdrawal after the cut-off on a business day, you miss that day's processing window. The arrival clock starts the next business day.

Processing on weekends and holidays

Bank withdrawals use the ACH network, which only operates on US business days. ACH does not process on weekends or US federal holidays.

If you submit a withdrawal on a weekend or federal holiday, it is queued and initiated on the next business day. Your expected arrival time starts from that initiation date, not from when you tapped Withdraw.

Examples

  • Friday after the cut-off: You submit a Fast withdrawal at 2:30pm ET on Friday. You missed Friday's 1pm cut-off, and ACH does not run on weekends, so the withdrawal initiates Monday and arrives the same business day, Monday.
  • Saturday evening: You submit a Fast withdrawal on Saturday at 8pm ET. ACH does not run on weekends, so the withdrawal initiates Monday morning and arrives the same business day, Monday.
  • Monday before the cut-off: You submit a Fast withdrawal at 12:30pm ET on Monday. You're inside the cut-off and Monday is a business day, so the withdrawal should arrive by end of business day Monday.
  • Federal holiday: You submit a Standard withdrawal on a federal holiday. ACH treats it like a non-business day, so the withdrawal initiates the next business day and arrives the business day after that.

Your bank's role

Even after Phantom shows your withdrawal as Completed in the Activity section of the Cash tab, your bank still needs to post the funds to your account. It can take 1 to 3 business days for the deposit to appear, depending on your bank's processing and funds availability policy.

If you don't see the funds yet, take these steps:

  1. Refresh your bank app or check your account online.
  2. Look for a pending or incoming ACH entry.
  3. If there's no pending entry, contact your bank directly. They can confirm whether the ACH file has arrived on their side.

When to contact Phantom Support

Most missing funds reports fall within the normal processing window once weekends and bank-side delays are factored in. Before reaching out, count business days from the initiation date, not the calendar date you submitted:

  • If fewer than 3 full business days have passed since the withdrawal initiated, this is within the normal window. Wait and check with your bank.
  • If 3 or more full business days have passed and the funds still haven't arrived, contact Phantom Support with the following details:
    • Date and time you submitted the withdrawal
    • Amount
    • Speed selected (Standard or Fast)
    • Whether the Activity entry shows as Completed
