Phantom is non-custodial, meaning only you control your wallet. Phantom does not store your credentials or have access to your account.
There are two ways to create a wallet:
- Recovery phrase: You're given a 12-word Secret Recovery Phrase that gives you full control of your wallet. Write it down and store it securely offline. You can use it to restore your wallet on any device or import it into other crypto apps.
- Google or Apple account: You sign in with your Google or Apple account and set a four-digit PIN. You'll need access to your Google or Apple account and your PIN to restore your wallet. Your wallet still has a recovery phrase. You can export it as an additional backup method.
Whichever option you choose, keep your recovery phrase backed up and never share it with anyone.
