Troubleshoot Stripe deposits into Cash (US/EU)
This article covers deposits made through Stripe within Phantom using a debit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or a linked bank account (US only).
For transfers sent from your banking app to your Cash virtual account, see Troubleshoot bank transfers into Cash (US only).
My deposit is still pending #
Processing time depends on your payment method:
| Payment method | Expected timing |
|---|---|
| Debit card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay | Can complete within 10 minutes |
| Linked bank account (US only) | Typically within 3 business days, but can take up to 5 business days |
Linked bank account deposits don’t process on weekends or US federal holidays.
Don’t submit another deposit while the first is pending, as both could complete.
For more details, see How long will my Cash deposit take?. If your deposit is taking longer than expected, contact Link support. Phantom can’t expedite deposits.
I see “You’ve reached your limit!” or my available limit is $0/€0 #
Check the deposit limit shown in Phantom. Limits are dynamic and can vary based on your payment method, verification level, account history, location, and Stripe’s risk assessment.
Some limits use a rolling 7-day window. Each deposit counts toward your limit for 7 days, then that amount becomes available again. There is no fixed weekly reset.
You can try a smaller amount or another supported payment method. Changing payment methods doesn’t guarantee a higher limit. A $0/€0 limit can also mean that your payment method isn’t currently available for additional deposits.
Stripe and Phantom Support can’t manually increase your deposit limit.
My payment method was declined #
Your bank or card issuer may block crypto-related transactions. Some cards and card networks are also unsupported.
Try another supported card or payment method. Visa debit cards tend to have the highest success rates. US checking accounts also tend to work well.
See the supported cards table in Add funds to your Cash account.
I can’t deposit from my current location #
Stripe deposits have location requirements:
- US: You must be physically located in the United States. Stripe funding within Phantom isn’t available in New York.
- EU: You must be physically located in a supported EU country.
If you’re outside a supported location, try another provider available in your region.
I can’t complete identity verification #
See the verification article for your region:
Who should I contact for help? #
For deposits processed by Stripe, contact Link support.
To check which provider handled your deposit, open Cash > History and select the transaction. The provider should appear in the deposit details.
If you used a third-party provider such as MoonPay, contact that provider directly. See Third-party onramp providers in Phantom for support contacts.
