Your Phantom wallet can hold multiple accounts. Each account includes addresses for every supported network. You can use different accounts for different purposes, such as long-term holdings, predictions, perp trading, or NFTs.
When a Phantom wallet is first created, it only has one account. Additional accounts don’t appear on their own, they’re created through specific actions in the app.

View accounts
Accounts in Phantom can come from several sources:
- Accounts created from your recovery phrase
- Accounts created when you sign in to Phantom Terminal
- Accounts from imported recovery phrases
- Accounts from imported private keys
- Accounts from a Ledger hardware wallet
- Accounts added as view-only

- Click your profile avatar in the upper left.
- Click Manage Accounts (pencil icon).

Tap your profile avatar in the upper left.
Add an account
You can create multiple accounts under the same wallet. Each new account is generated from your recovery phrase and creates a new address on every supported network.
If you've imported more than one recovery phrase, Phantom asks which one to use when you create an account.
Browser extension
- Click your profile avatar in the upper left.
- Click Add Account (plus icon).
- Click Create New Account → Create.
Mobile app
- Tap your profile avatar in the upper left.
- Tap Add Account.
- Tap Create New Account → Create.
Tip: Send a small transaction to each new account. Phantom automatically restores accounts with past activity when you recover your wallet. For email login wallets, only the first account is restored—you'll need to manually add the rest.
Customize account names and avatars
Personalize your accounts by giving them custom names (for example, "Trading," "Predictions," "NFTs") and setting custom avatars from a range of emojis or your own NFTs. Account names and avatars are private and not visible to anyone else.
Browser extension
- Click your profile avatar in the upper left.
- Click Manage Accounts (pencil icon).
- Click the account you want to edit.
- Click Account Name.
- Enter a new name, then pick an emoji or an NFT from your wallet.
- Save your changes.
Mobile app
- Tap your profile avatar in the upper left.
- Tap the pencil icon next to the account.
- Tap Account Name.
- Enter a new name, then pick an emoji or an NFT from your wallet.
- Tap anywhere to save.
Rearrange accounts
You can reorder accounts to keep your most-used ones at the top.
Browser extension
- Click your profile avatar in the upper left.
- Click Manage Accounts (pencil icon).
- Click and drag the account to your desired position.
Mobile app
- Tap your profile avatar in the upper left.
- Press and hold the account, then drag it to your desired position.
Remove accounts
Removing an account hides it from Phantom. It doesn't delete anything from the blockchain or affect your funds. You can add the account back later.
Browser extension
- Click your profile avatar in the upper left.
- Click Manage Accounts (pencil icon).
- Select the account and click Remove Account.
Mobile app
- Tap your profile avatar in the upper left.
- Tap the pencil icon next to the account.
- Tap Remove Account.
If you imported multiple recovery phrases, removing all accounts tied to one phrase also removes that phrase from Phantom. You can re-import it later.
Add back a removed account
To re-add an account, select your profile avatar → Add Account → Create New Account → Create.
Phantom re-creates accounts in order from your recovery phrase. If the account doesn't appear after adding a few, you may be using a different recovery phrase. See Missing accounts after wallet import.
FAQ
Is my account name public?
No. Account names are private and not visible to anyone else.
