Add accounts and import wallets to Phantom after initial setup

You can add more accounts to your Phantom wallet at any time. Create new accounts, import wallets you already own, connect hardware wallets, or monitor other addresses' activity.

Add accounts

Create a new account

Creates a new multi-chain account linked to one of your existing Secret Recovery Phrases. If you have imported multiple recovery phrases, Phantom asks which one to use. Good for keeping things separate without starting over.

Note: If you imported an existing wallet and some of your previously used accounts aren't showing, see Accounts are missing after importing.

Browser extension

  1. Click your profile avatar in the upper left.
  2. Click Add Account.
  3. Click Create New Account.
  4. Click Create.

Mobile app

  1. On the Home tab, tap your account name above your balance.
  2. Tap the + button in the upper right.
  3. Tap Create New Account.
  4. Tap Create.

Other options

Connect Hardware Wallet

Adds accounts from a Ledger hardware wallet. Connect by cable or Bluetooth.

Import Recovery Phrase

Adds a set of accounts on all supported networks.

Import Private Key

Adds a single account on one network.

Watch Address

Adds a public address in view-only mode. You can track balances and activity, but can't send or sign transactions. Useful for monitoring another wallet.
