Phantom is an app where you can trade tokens, perps, prediction markets, tokenized stocks, collect and manage collectibles, chat with other traders, and spend your crypto like real money with Phantom Cash.
Phantom is self-custodial, meaning that you control your wallet. Phantom does not hold your credentials or have access to your funds.

Set up your wallet
Open Phantom and select Create a New Wallet. You have two options:
- Secret Recovery Phrase: Phantom generates a 12-word phrase, that you need to store securely offline. This is the only way to access your wallet, and Phantom does not hold your recovery phrase. See Create a wallet with a recovery phrase for more information.
- Google or Apple: Sign in with your Google or Apple account and set a four-digit PIN. Your account and PIN together is the only way to access your wallet. Phantom does not hold your credentials. See Create a wallet with Google or Apple for more information.
Want to use Phantom on multiple devices? Restore your wallet on each device using the same recovery phrase, or the same Google or Apple account and PIN.
Fund your wallet
- Buy tokens from third-party providers: Purchase tokens directly in Phantom using a debit card, Apple Pay, PayPal, or bank transfer. Payment methods vary by region. See Buy tokens in Phantom for more information.
- Receive tokens from elsewhere: Deposit from another wallet or exchange. See Receive tokens in Phantom for more information.
Spend your crypto like real money with Phantom Cash
Phantom Cash lets you hold CASH, a USD-pegged stablecoin on Solana. Fund, send, and spend your crypto in the real world with your Cash account. See Get started with your Cash account for more information.

Stake SOL
Stake your SOL to earn Phantom Staked SOL (PSOL), a liquid staking token. PSOL increases in value over time as rewards accrue. You can use PSOL in decentralized finance (DeFi) apps, swap it, or unstake it to redeem your SOL. See Stake SOL with Phantom liquid staking for more information.
Chat with others
Join live chats on token pages, perps, and prediction markets to discuss trades with other users. See Chat with other traders for more information.
Customize your profile
Set an emoji or collectible as your profile avatar and give yourself a username. See Customize and manage your profile in Phantom for more information.
Learn about the risks
Blockchain is an open world. Know what to expect when you trade tokens and collectibles. See Common token scams and Common NFT scams for more information.
Stay secure
- Save your recovery phrase. Write it down and store it offline. If you lose access to your wallet, this is the only way to recover it.
- Never share your recovery phrase. Phantom Support will never ask for it. Anyone who has it controls your wallet.
- Remember your PIN. If you signed in with Google or Apple, you will need your PIN to restore your wallet.
- Be cautious with unexpected tokens and collectibles. Do not interact with tokens you did not buy or receive from someone you trust.
