Restore your existing Phantom wallet

If you're setting up Phantom on a new device or reinstalling the app, you can restore your existing wallet. Use the same method you chose when you created it.

Restore with a recovery phrase

Browser extension

  1. Click I already have a walletImport Recovery Phrase.
  2. Enter your 12-word recovery phrase in order.
  3. Click Import Wallet.
  4. Create a password to unlock Phantom on this device.
  5. Click Get Started.

Mobile app

  1. Tap I already have a wallet.
  2. Tap Other import optionsImport Seed Phrase.
  3. Enter your 12-word recovery phrase in the exact order.
  4. Tap Import Recovery Phrase.
  5. Turn on device authentication (Face ID, fingerprint, or passcode).
  6. Tap Get Started.

Phantom retrieves all accounts linked to your recovery phrase that have previous activity.

Restore with Google or Apple

Browser extension

  1. Click I already have a walletConnect Email Wallet
  2. Click Apple or Google and sign in.
  3. Enter your 4-digit PIN.
  4. Create a password to unlock Phantom on this device.
  5. Click Get Started.

Mobile app

  1. Tap I already have a wallet → Continue with Email.
  2. Tap Continue with Apple or Continue with Google and sign in.
  3. Enter your 4-digit PIN.
  4. Turn on device authentication (Face ID, fingerprint, or passcode).
  5. Tap Get Started.

Phantom retrieves only the first account linked to your wallet. If you had more than one account before, add them manually by going to profile (upper-right corner) → Add Account.

Missing accounts?
