Restore access to your Phantom wallet

You can restore access to your Phantom wallet using the same method you chose when you first created it.

  • Recovery phrase: Restore your wallet using your 12-word recovery phrase.
  • Google account or Apple account: Sign in with the account you used to create your wallet, then confirm with your 4-digit PIN.

Restore a wallet using its recovery phrase

If you’re setting up Phantom on a new device or after resetting the app, you can restore access to your wallet by importing the recovery phrase.

Browser extension

  1. Click I already have a walletImport Recovery Phrase.
  2. Enter your 12-word recovery phrase in the exact order.
  3. Click Import Wallet. Phantom will retrieve all accounts linked to this recovery phrase that have had previous activity.
  4. Click Continue.
  5. Create a password to unlock Phantom on this device.
  6. Click Get Started.

You’ve successfully restored access to your wallet.

Mobile app

  1. Tap I already have a wallet.
  2. Tap Other import optionsImport Seed Phrase.
  3. Enter your 12-word recovery phrase in the exact order.
  4. Tap Import Recovery Phrase. Phantom will retrieve all accounts linked to this recovery phrase that have had previous activity.
  5. Tap Continue.
  6. Turn on device authentication (Face ID, fingerprint, or passcode) to unlock Phantom on this device, then tap Next.
  7. Tap Get Started.

Restore a wallet using your Google or Apple account

Use this option if you originally created your wallet using a Google account or Apple account.

Browser extension

  1. Click I already have a wallet.
  2. Click Connect Email Wallet, then click Apple or Google.
  3. Log in to your account, and then enter your 4-digit PIN.
  4. Create a password to unlock Phantom on this device.
  5. Click Get Started.
  6. Phantom will restore the first accounts derived from this recovery phrase that have previous activity.

You’ve successfully restored access to your wallet.

Mobile app

  1. Tap I already have a wallet.
  2. Tap Continue with Email, then tap Continue with Apple or Continue with Google.
  3. Log in to your account, and then enter your 4-digit PIN.
  4. Turn on device authentication (Face ID, fingerprint, or passcode) to unlock Phantom on this device, then tap Next.
  5. Tap Get Started.

You’ve successfully restored your seedless wallet.
